2018-2019 GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS

The Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies takes a broad and inclusive view of what a community is, and provides grants to the widest possible range of organizations and initiatives in the areas of:

  • Animal Welfare
  • Arts, Culture and Heritage
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Mental Health and Addictions
  • Outdoor Recreation, Physical Activity, and Sports
  • Programs for Seniors
  • Social and Health Services

For potential applicants, it is important to note that most of our current grants are quite small, ranging from a few hundred dollars up to $1500.

The Sparwood Community Fund has launched its 2018 ‘Sparwood Small Is Beautiful’ granting process. To apply, please complete the following fillable pdf: SCF 2018 Grant Application Form FINAL. Please save the fillable pdf to your computer, and then begin filling out the form. The Sparwood Community Fund will consider grant applications from eligible organizations within the District of Sparwood and the surrounding rural area, including Elk Prairie, Michel, and Natal. The deadline for applying is September 30, 2018, 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

The Fernie Community Fund’s application process will open January 1, 2019 and close March 1, 2019. The Fernie Community Fund will consider grant applications from eligible organizations within the City of Fernie, east to Hosmer, and west to Elko, including Tobacco Plains Indian Band and the South Country. To apply, please download and complete the Fernie Community Fund’s 2019 application form, once it becomes available.

The Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies’ application process for Cranbrook and area will open January 1, 2019 and close March 1, 2019. The Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies will consider grant applications from eligible organizations within the City of Cranbrook, rural Cranbrook, Aq’am, Moyie, Fort Steele, Mayook, Bull River, Wardner, Jaffray, Tie Lake, Rosen Lake, Galloway, and the portion of Wycliffe that is not served by the Kimberley & District Community Foundation. To apply, please download and complete the CFKR’s Cranbrook and area 2019 application form, once it becomes available.
